Vietnamese PM urges prioritizing domestic products

HANOI, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called on relevant agencies to strengthen measures to boost domestic consumption, with a focus on the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese products," Vietnam News Agency reported Tuesday.

In a recent dispatch, the prime minister asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade to step up communication efforts for the campaign.

The move aims to affirm the quality of domestically-produced goods and encourage the consumption of Vietnamese products on both domestic and international e-commerce platforms.

The ministry has been tasked with promoting supply-demand linkages and expanding the distribution of Vietnamese products to rural, mountainous, remote and island areas, as well as economically disadvantaged regions.
