VIENTIANE, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith will lead a high-level delegation to pay a state visit to Russia from May 8 to May 10 at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, aiming to strengthen Laos-Russia relations and enhance bilateral cooperation.

During the visit, Thongloun will also participate in the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Lao national TV reported on Wednesday.
