HANOI, April 27 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam is in the final stage of preparations for a grand ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, set to take place next Wednesday, Vietnam News Agento tacy reported.
A full-scale state-level rehearsal was held on Sunday along Le Duan Street in Ho Chi Minh City's District 1, drawing tens of thousands of onlookers, according to the state-owned media outlet.
Approximately 13,000 personnel from 48 formations of the police, military and militia took part in the rehearsal.
The official ceremony will begin at 6:30 a.m. next Wednesday.
