PHNOM PENH -- Cambodian authorities had arrested 14,722 drug-related suspects, including 331 foreigners, during the first nine months of 2023, the country's Anti-Drug Department said in a report on Sunday.
Some 51 percent of the suspects were drug traffickers, manufacturers and transporters, while the rest were drug users, the report said. (Cambodia-Narcotics)

ANKARA -- An explosion on Sunday near the Turkish Interior Ministry was by "terrorists" attempting a bomb attack, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said.

ISLAMABAD -- At least one policeman and two terrorists were killed early Sunday morning during a terrorist attack at a check post in the Mianwali district of Pakistan's eastern Punjab province, the police chief said.

ABUJA -- At least 25 members of a local church's choir were kidnapped by armed gunmen en route to a funeral in the Ose local government area of Nigeria's southwestern state of Ondo, local police said Saturday.
Olufunmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, spokeswoman for the police in Ondo, confirmed the incident which occurred Friday, saying the police's anti-kidnapping squad and other tactical teams have been deployed to the area to rescue the victims and arrest all involved in the crime. (Nigeria-Kidnapping)
