HANOI -- The bodies of all 22 military personnel who were buried by a landslide in central Vietnam's Quang Tri Province have been found, Vietnam News Agency reported on Monday.

ISLAMABAD -- Five persons were killed and five others injured when the roof of a house collapsed in the district of Okara in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province on Monday, said government officials.

TASHKENT -- Four members of one family were killed when their car fell into a canal and caught fire in Angor district of Uzbekistan's southern Surkhandarya region, local police said Monday.
The family, namely a husband, his wife, and two young children, were driving on the Samarkand-Termez highway at around midnight when the incident occurred, police said, adding that they were killed on the spot. (Uzbekistan-Car Crash)

PUL-E-KHUMRI, Afghanistan -- Taliban attack to take the control of the main highway in Afghan northern Baghlan province has been repulsed and the militants fled away after leaving seven bodies behind, said an army statement released here Monday.
The armed militants, according to the statement, launched a massive offensive on the main highway in Kilagai area late Sunday night but their design has been foiled as seven insurgents have been killed and eight more injured. (Afghanistan-Taliban)
